Notice: The new SIR coil assembly will be centered. Improper alignment of the SIR coil assembly may damage the unit, causing an inflatable restraint malfunction. Preliminary Procedure Remove the steering column upper trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement.
1	Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Bolt (Qty: 4) Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section. Tighten 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
2	Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Procedure Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed. A new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil is equipped with a yellow tab that is removed after the steering wheel is installed. This tab passes through the steering wheel.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

Procedure

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
