DTC B1001 00: Option Configuration Error (RPO Mismatch)Diagnostic Fault Information
Important: Always perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
Circuit/System Description
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) has an initial vehicle system programming error.
Conditions for Running DTC
| • | System voltage is between 9-16 volts. |
| • | Ignition switch is in the ON position. |
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The IPC is powered up prior to RPO programming.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
| • | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
| • | The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool. |
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The IPC will display a "Program with Scan Tool" message.

Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition ON, using the scan tool, verify that DTC B1001 is not set as current.
- Clear all DTCs using the scan tool, verify that DTC B1001 is no longer set as current.
| ⇒ | If DTC B1001 is set as current, attempt to re-calibrate the IPC. |
| ⇒ | If DTC B1001 is still current. Replace the IPC. |
