DTC B1008: Calibration Data Not Programmed

Diagnostic Fault Information

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information, prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description

The telematics module requires initial programming when installed for a valid calibration data set, if no valid calibration set is found the telematics module will set a DTC and commands the red LED ON.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The only requirements are battery positive voltage and ground.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

This code shall set as current when the calibration set does not exist in the telematics module.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The telematics module sets a DTC.
    • The telematics module commands the red LED ON.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.
    • The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles.
    • The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, use the scan tool to request DTCs. Verify that DTC B1008 is set as current.
  2. If DTC B1008 is current perform the programming setup. If programming fails, replace the telematics module.
