DTC B101D RSE

DTC Descriptor

DTC B101D 00: ECU Hardware Performance, Internal Communications Failure

Circuit/System Description

The rear seat entertainment (RSE) interface module is used to communicate between all the infotainment units equipped on the vehicle.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

When the RSE interface module has recognised an internal fault.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

This code will set as current when the RSE interface module recognises an internal fault or fails to communicate with the BCM. DTC B101D indicates that the RSE interface module has had an internal fault and is not affected by any external circuits.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The DTC becomes history when the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present.
    • The history DTC clears after 40 fault-free ignition cycles.
    • The DTC can be cleared using the scan tool.

Circuit/System Description

When the ignition is turned ON, the radio performs a self test to verify if any critical malfunction exists within the system.

Conditions for Running the DTC

This DTC runs continuously

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The module has detected an internal electrical malfunction.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

Radio functions are disabled

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • A current DTC clears when the conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present.
    • A history DTC clears after 50 malfunction-free ignition cycles.

Circuit/System Description

This DTC runs continuously
