Hydraulic Clutch Hose/Pipe Replacement LHD

Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  4. Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

    Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1950886  Size: SH

    Important: Do not fully remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).

  5. Release the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
  6. Disconnect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
  7. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  9. Remove the transmission assembly. Refer to Transmission Replacement .

  10. Object Number: 1950882  Size: SH

    Important: The hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2) is located at the top of the bulk head.

  11. Detach the clutch hose/pipe (2) securing clip (1), from the bulk head by squeezing both clip tangs together.
  12. Remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1950882  Size: SH
  1. Install the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2).
  2. Important: The hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2) is located at the top of the bulk head.

  3. Attach the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe securing clip (1), to the bulk head, ensuring that both retaining tangs are correctly engaged in the body.
  4. Install the transmission assembly. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle.

    Important: Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.

    Important: Inspect clutch pipe seals for any damage, replace pipe if seals are damaged.

  7. Connect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) to the clutch master cylinder (2).
  8. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
  9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  10. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  11. Road test vehicle for correct clutch operation.

Hydraulic Clutch Hose/Pipe Replacement LHD

Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  4. Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

    Important: Do not fully remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).

  5. Release the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe retaining clip (3) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
  6. Disconnect the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (1) from the clutch master cylinder (2).
  7. Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

  9. Remove the transmission assembly. Refer to Transmission Replacement.

  11. Detach the clutch hose/pipe (2) securing clip (1), from the bulk head by squeezing both clip tangs together.
  12. Remove the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2).

  2. Important: The hydraulic clutch hose/pipe (2) is located at the top of the bulk head.

  3. Attach the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe securing clip (1), to the bulk head, ensuring that both retaining tangs are correctly engaged in the body.
  4. Install the transmission assembly. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
