Important: New telematics modules and vehicles that
require telematics activation will be delivered in Pre-Delivery mode. Before a system
can be activated or once a telematics module has been installed the telematics module
must be removed from Pre-Delivery mode.
The telematics module has four operational modes:
| • | Service - Used to temporarily deactivate the system so as service procedures
can be performed. |
| • | Active - When selected will enable the telematics system to function. |
| • | Sleep - Periodic mode of telematics module used to limit battery current
draw. |
| • | Pre-Delivery - Initial mode of telematics module when supplied from production. |
To select a mode follow the steps below:
- Install a diagnostic scan tool.
- Select Infotainment System.
- Select Telematics.
- Select Programming.
- Select the one of the following four options:
