Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the instrument panel cluster (IPC).
  2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition voltage circuit and a known ground.
  3. If the test lamp does not illuminate, repair the ignition voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition voltage circuit and the IPC ground circuit.
  5. If the test lamp does not illuminate, repair the IPC ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  6. If all circuits test normal, replace the IPC

Repair Instructions
