Engine Flywheel Replacement SWBLHD

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to one of the following procedures:

•	Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.

•	Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.

2. Remove the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal.
3. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection. If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for correct operation. Replace the starter if you find wear or damage to the starter drive above acceptable tolerances. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.

1. Install the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation.
2. Install the transmission. Refer to one of the following procedures:

•	Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.

•	Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.

Engine Flywheel Replacement LWBLHD

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.
2. Remove the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal.
3. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection. If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for correct operation. Replace the starter if you find wear or damage to the starter drive above acceptable tolerances. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.

1. Install the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation.
2. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.

Engine Flywheel Replacement LWBRHD

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.
2. Remove the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal.
3. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection. If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for correct operation. Replace the starter if you find wear or damage to the starter drive above acceptable tolerances. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.

1. Install the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation.
2. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.

Engine Flywheel Replacement SWBRHD

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to one of the following procedures:

•	Transmission Replacement - Aisin AY6.

•	Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.

•	Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.

2. Remove the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Removal .
3. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection . If the flywheel teeth are damaged, inspect the starter for correct operation. Replace the starter if you find wear or damage to the starter drive above acceptable tolerances. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement .

1. Install the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Installation .
2. Install the transmission. Refer to one of the following procedures:

•	Transmission Replacement - Aisin AY6.

•	Transmission Replacement - 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E.

•	Transmission Replacement - 5L40-E/5L50-E.
