    • EN 46105 Camshaft Locking Tools

  1. Remove the EN 46105  (2) from the rear of the right camshafts (1).

  2. Object Number: 1958012  Size: SH
  3. Install the EN 46101  (1) onto the spark plug tubes of the right cylinder head.
  4. Install the camshaft cover bolt grommets prior to installing the camshaft cover bolts.
  5. Wipe the camshaft cover sealing surface on the right cylinder head with a clean, lint-free cloth.

  6. Object Number: 1957995  Size: SH
  7. Place a bead 8 mm (0.3150 in) in diameter by 4 mm (0.1575 in) in height of RTV sealant on the engine front cover split lines (1).

  8. Object Number: 1958008  Size: SH
  9. Place the right camshaft cover (2) into position onto the right cylinder head (3).
  10. Loosely install the right camshaft cover bolts (1).
  11. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1961757  Size: SH
  12. Tighten the left camshaft cover to cylinder head retaining bolts in the sequence shown.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts in sequence to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1958012  Size: SH
  14. Remove the EN 46101  (1) from the spark plug tubes of the right cylinder head.

  15. Object Number: 1958783  Size: SH
  16. Install the NEW spark plugs (1).
  17. Tighten
    Tighten the spark plugs to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1958000  Size: SH

    Important: DO NOT damage the spark plug and/or the seal in the left camshaft cover or an engine misfire condition may result.

  18. Install the ignition coils (2).
  19. Install each ignition coil to camshaft cover retaining bolt (1).
  20. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
