  1. Disconnect the BCM harness connectors.
  2. Test the battery positive voltage circuits for opens or shorts to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  3. Test the ignition positive voltage and accessory positive voltage for opens or shorts to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster harness connector.
  2. Test the security indicator supply circuit for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the instrument cluster for an open or high resistance in the security indicator circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the security indicator control circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the radio and BCM program input for a short to B+. Refer to Circuit Testing and to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the BCM harness connectors. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Important:: Set up new BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

  1. Reconnect all harness connectors.
  2. Operate the self-diagnostic test as described. Refer to On-Board Diagnostic Features .
