Do the Courtesy Lamps operate properly?

Go to Step  3

Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems in Lighting Systems

  1. Close vehicle doors.
  2. Close rear compartment lid.
  3. Turn ignition to RUN position.
  4. Turn ignition to OFF position.
  5. Attempt to operate each of the following components:
  6. • Radio
    • Power windows

Do all of the RAP functions operate normally?

Go to Testing for Electrical Intermittents in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 4

  1. Close vehicle doors.
  2. Close rear compartment lid.
  3. Turn ignition to RUN position.
  4. Attempt to operate each of the following components:
  5. • Radio
    • Power windows

Do all of the functions operate normally?

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connectors of the BCM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Important: Perform the set up procedure when replacing the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
