Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 441270  Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  2. Remove the oil pump screen attaching bolts (2).
  3. Remove the oil pump screen (1).
  4. Remove the oil pump screen gasket (3).
  5. Clean the screen and housing with solvent and blow dry with compressed air.
  6. Clean the gasket mating surfaces on the pipe flange and cylinder block.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the oil pump screen gasket (3).
  2. Install the oil pump screen (1).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the oil pump screen bolts (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pump screen bolts (2) to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Install the oil pan. Refer to Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
