Cause

Correction

A rattling noise coming from the overhead sunroof area caused by the sunshade is loose at the guide pins.

Verify that the pins are in the track and reinstall properly.

A rattling noise coming inside the headliner while the door is being opened caused by the sunroof cables rattle/buzz to the sunroof frame.

Use insulator foam in order to insulate the motor from the roof panel.

A creaking noise coming from the sunroof area caused by a relative movement between the seal and the roof panel causes the noise.

Apply a light silicone -type spray to the surface of the seal.

A creak or rattle noise from the headliner panel area caused by 1 of the following:

    • The sunroof mastic could be cracked.
    • The sunroof module flange is too close to the roof panel allowing metal-to-metal contact.

Apply additional adhesive or use foam to pre-load.
