Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 303459  Size: SH
  1. Remove the right lower hinge trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.

  2. Object Number: 662060  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the 2 wiring harness connectors from the automatic transfer case control module

  4. Object Number: 662055  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 3 nuts securing the automatic transfer case control module to the retainer.
  6. Slide the automatic transfer case control module straight out from the retainer.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 662055  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the automatic transfer case control module into the retainer with the 3 nuts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the 2 wiring harness connectors to the automatic transfer case control module.

  4. Object Number: 303459  Size: SH
  5. Install the right lower hinge trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side.
  6. Start the engine and test the automatic transfer case system for proper shift operation.
