Bridgestone/Firestone yesterday (8/26/04) announced in the media that it is initiating a voluntary safety campaign in the United States to replace approximately 25,600 Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires in size LT285/75R16 Load Range D. This message is to inform you that this is an aftermarket product, and is not used in production on any of our General Motors vehicles. Any vehicle that has had this aftermarket tire installed can be taken to any Bridgestone/Firestone store for inspection of these replacement tires. The customer need not wait for the pending notification letter from Bridgestone/Firestone. Questions regarding this Bridgestone/Firestone voluntary safety campaign may be directed to Bridgestone/Firestone at their website: www.bridgestone.com, and by phone at 1-800-465-1904.
