Seat Belt Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition.
  3. Do not move the ignition switch from the LOCK position.

  4. Leave the driver's seat belt unbuckled.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

The chime will sound 50 beats per minute for 5-10 seconds.

    •  Chime Inoperative
    •  Chime Always On

Seat Belt Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition.
  3. Do not move the ignition switch from the LOCK position.

  4. Buckle the driver's seat belt.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

No chime will sound.

    •  Chime Always On

Key In Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition.
  3. Do not move the ignition switch from the LOCK position.

  4. Open the driver's door.

The chime will sound 100 beats per minute while the following conditions exist:

    • The ignition switch is in the OFF position.
    • The key is in the ignition.
    • The driver's door is open.
    •  Chime Inoperative

Key In Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition.
  3. Do not move the ignition switch from the LOCK position.

  4. Remove the key from the ignition.

The chime stops sounding when the key is removed from the ignition.

    •  Chime Inoperative
    •  Chime Always On

Lights On Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  3. Move the headlamp switch to the PARK or the HEAD position.

The chime will sound 150 beats per minute while the following conditions exist:

    • The ignition switch is in the OFF position.
    • The headlamp switch is in the PARK or the HEAD position.
    • The dimmer switch is not in the OFF position.
    •  Chime Inoperative

Lights On Chime

  1. Close the driver's door.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  3. Move the headlamp switch to the PARK or the HEAD position.
  4. Move the headlamp switch to the OFF position.

The chime stops sounding when the headlamp switch is moved to the OFF position.

    •  Chime Inoperative
    •  Chime Always On

Turn Signal On Chime

Drive the vehicle at least 3/4 mile with the turn signal ON continuously (If the turn signal cancels or is turned OFF, begin the mileage measuring again).

The chime sounds every time the turn signal flashes ON.

Turn Signal On Chime

  1. Drive the vehicle with the turn signal ON.
  2. Cancel the turn signal.

The chime stops sounding when the turn signal is canceled.
