NEW SPRING DOWEL CASE COVER PINS SERVICE PROCEDURE

1989 THM 125/125C HYDRA-MATIC NEW SPRING DOWEL CASE COVER PINS 3T40 (MD9)

TRANSMISSION MODELS: VEHICLE APPLICATIONS:

ALL A,J,L,N & P CARS

Bulletin Covers: (Refer to Figure 1) ---------------- New Spring Dowel Case Cover Pins (101) for the Case Cover (401) to Case (15) that are hollow in design to prevent them coming out of the case while the Case Cover is removed during service and/or reassembly of any THM 125/125C/HYDRA-MATIC 3T40.

DATE OF PRODUCTION CHANGE:

The new Spring Dowel Case Cover Pins went into production November 14, 1988 (Julian Date 319).

SERVICE ACTION: (Refer to Figures 2-3) --------------- The new Pins can be used to service all past model THM 125/125C/HYDRA-MATIC 3T40 transaxles. Do not mix new style Spring Dowel Case Cover Pins with previous style Dowel Pins.

If removal of the old Pin is necessary use the following procedure:

1. Grasp the sides of Dowel Pin, twist and pull out of Case. (Figure 2)

2. Install the new pin by squeezing the Pin together and seating in the Case. (Figure 3)
