Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the OSS sensor retaining bolt.
- Remove the OSS sensor from the transaxle.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Install a new O-ring on the OSS sensor.
- Install the OSS sensor and retaining bolt into the transaxle.
- Connect the OSS sensor electrical connector.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
Important: Lubricate the O-ring with T-IV Automatic Transmission Fluid GM P/N 88900925 (Canadian P/N 22689186).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the OSS sensor retaining bolt to 7.4 N·m (65 lb in).
