Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    2. Object Number: 1245836 Size: SH
  2. Locate the transmission control module (TCM) electrical connector next to the brake pedal assembly.
  3. Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1245837 Size: SH
  4. Remove the TCM retaining bolts.
  5. Remove the TCM.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1245837 Size: SH
  1. Install the TCM and retaining bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the TCM retaining bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).


    Object Number: 1245836 Size: SH
  2. Connect the TCM electrical connector.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
  4. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
