Condition
Some customers may comment that the front seat cushion cover is coming detached from the seat frame along the front edge of the seat.
Correction
Install 3M™Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape to the seat frame. Follow the procedure below.
- Release the J retainer for the cushion frame.
- Lift the cushion and cover up and away from the lower edge of the frame.
- Clean both sides of the frame with 3M™ General Purpose Cleaner, or equivalent.
- Apply *3M™ Adhesive Promoter, P/N 06396, to the frame.
- Cut six pieces of *3M™ Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape 50 mm (2 in) long.
- Apply *3M™Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape to the lower front edge of the frame.
- Roll the tape under the frame and attach to the back side of the frame.
- Remove the plastic liner from the tape.
- Pull the cushion cover over the front side of the tape.
- Secure the J retainer to the frame.
