Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster (IPC) trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 348794  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws that retain the IPC to the instrument panel (I/P) assembly.

  4. Object Number: 854865  Size: SH
  5. Remove the IPC (2) from the vehicle by tilting the bottom of the cluster outward.
  6. Disconnect the IPC harness (1) from the IPC.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the IPC harness (1) to the IPC (2).

  2. Object Number: 348794  Size: SH
  3. Install the IPC onto the I/P with the screws. Tilt the top of the cluster into the retainer first to avoid damaging the flexible circuit connections.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws that retain the IPC to the I/P assembly.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  7. Install the IPC trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
  8. When the IPC is replaced the new IPC will need to be programmed. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
