The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Customers may comment that the volume of the chime is too loud. This information only applies on vehicles equipped with RPO "UQ7" and one of the following RPOs "UB0", "UB1" or "UC6" without "Y91"

Recommendation/Instructions:

If changing the chime volume per SI Document ID # 844662 does not correct this concern perform the following:

Reprogram the radio with new radio calibrations released in TIS2000. At the Calibration Screen (of TIS2000), under the "Equalizer" tab, select new calibration to reduce chime volume. This new calibration will reduce the chime volume to a more satisfactory level.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
