The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
While trying to program the radio on vehicles equipped with (Rear Seat Entertainment) RSE (RPO U42), you may experience Tech 2 utility errors and/or messages of "unsuccessful" programming may be displayed on the Tech 2.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Remove the 15 amp "radio" fuse in the UBEC for 30 seconds and then reinstall, this will reset the radio. If the vehicle is equipped with RSE the hot at all times fuse must be removed and then try to reprogram the radio.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
