Condition
Some customers may comment that the left hand outside rearview mirror will not lock into the detent position when folded inward.
Correction
- Extend the mirror all the way outward.
- Remove the rubber boot from the body side of the mirror.
- Protect the body and glass.
- Sand 6 mm (1/4 in) off the rib on the mirror. Refer to the illustration above.
- Touch up the area.
- Install the rubber boot using soapy water.
