When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME

A/C Low Pressure Cycling Switch Intermittently Inop or Stuck Open

All 2003 Full Size Pickups, Full Size Utilities, and H2

All 2002 and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, Trailblazer EXT, GMC Envoy, Envoy XL, and Olds Bravada

Some customers may comment about an intermittently inoperative A/C system and the loss of cold air. A concern has emerged involving the listed models, including repeat occurrences with service part number 01132749 installed. A NEW SERVICE PART NUMBER 89040362 IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SET UP FOR STOCK AT SPO. There are very limited quantities starting to become available so we expect backorders early on until stocking levels can reach demand. The current A/C cycling switch part number 01132749 should continue to be used in the absence of the new part while SPO is in process of building inventory. A service bulletin is in process and should be released soon.

The new service part number 89040362 will be the service part for 2003 H2, full size pickups and utilities and the 2002 and 2003 TrailBlazer, Envoy and Bravada.

The current service part number 01132749 will continue to be used in past model 1999-2002 full size pick-ups and utilities.

Anyone that has ordered part number 15035084 to use as a substitute in any of these truck models should cancel those orders. This part number is for the 2003 G-Van and is not recommended, as it will not provide the maximum cooling efficiency from the A/C system in the models addressed in this message.

We apologize for the expected backorder on the new part number, but the intent is to make whatever parts we have available to our dealers as soon as possible rather than hold them to build up inventory.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
