When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some customers may comment that their outside rear view power camper mirror (RPO DPF) does not function properly. We are now able to service the mirror glass and motor separately from the entire mirror assembly. The service part numbers are as follow: LH glass replacement (P/N 88980581); RH glass replacement (P/N 88980582), glass motor (P/N 88980583) and extend/retract traverse motor (P/N 88980584). By servicing these parts separately (versus the entire assembly) will result in warranty savings.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
