When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

The design and the supplier of the PCS (pressure control solenoid) and wiring harness connector has changed for the 2003 model year. The 2003 PCS can be identified by the electrical connector which is located on the side of the PCS. The 2002 and older style PCS used an electrical connector that was located on the end of the PCS. To accurately control this new PCS the transmission calibration has been changed for 2003. Do not use a 2002 or older PCS and wiring harness in a 2003 transmission or low line pressure and potential clutch damage may occur.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
