Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 521810 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear door or hatch.
  2. On vehicles with rear doors, remove the rear compartment opening weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the screw that retains the upper quarter of the applique.
  4. Firmly grab the applique and pull the panel out from the body.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 521810 Size: SH
  1. Align the tabs to the body access holes.
  2. Push the applique into place.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screw that retains the upper quarter of the applique.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  4. On vehicles with rear doors, install the rear compartment opening weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement in Body Rear End.
