Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the driver side knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the nuts that retain the knee bolster lap deflector to the instrument panel carrier (IPC).
  4. Remove the bolts that retain the knee bolster lap deflector to the IPC.

    5. Object Number: 482671 Size: SH
  5. Remove the knee bolster lap deflector from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 482671 Size: SH
  1. Install the knee bolster lap deflector to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts that retain the knee bolster lap deflector to the IPC.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts that retain the knee bolster lap deflector to the IPC.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the driver side knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Install the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
