Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 701151  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose from the of the power steering pump.
  4. Lower the vehicle.

  5. Object Number: 701194  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose from the hydraulic brake booster.
  7. Remove the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose from vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Do not start the engine with any power steering hose disconnected, or damage to the components could occur.

  1. Install the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose to vehicle.
  2. Connect the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose to the hydraulic brake booster.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  4. Object Number: 701151  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Connect the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose to the power steering pump.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the hydraulic brake booster inlet hose to the power steering pump to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  7. Bleed the system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
