Turn the hazard flashers ON.

Do the hazard flashers operate?

  1. Turn the hazard flashers OFF.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Disconnect the turn/hazard switch (part of C201).
  4. Connect a test lamp from CKT 139 (PNK) cavity A2 at connector C201 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Turn OFF the hazard flashers.
  2. Disconnect the turn/hazard flasher module.
  3. Turn the hazard flashers ON.
  4. Connect a test lamp from CKT 62 (LT GRN) cavity H9 at the turn/hazard flasher module to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 9

  1. Reconnect the turn/hazard switch.
  2. Turn the hazard flashers OFF.
  3. Turn the turn signal switch to the LEFT TURN position.
  4. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe from connector C201 CKT 1508 (LT BLU) cavity A3 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 139 (PNK) from connector C201 to the instrument panel fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1508 (LT BLU) between the turn/hazard switch and splice S250.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

Is the replacement complete?

Connect a test lamp from CKT 550 (BLK) cavity G8 to CKT 62 (LT GRN) cavity H9 at the turn/hazard flasher module.

Does the test lamp light?

Inspect for an open in CKT 62 (LT GRN) from the turn/hazard flasher module to the turn/hazard switch.

Did you find an open?

Repair the open in CKT 62 (LT GRN) from the turn/hazard flasher module to the turn/hazard switch.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

  1. Reconnect the turn/hazard flasher module.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe from C201 CKT 16 (PPL) cavity E9 to ground.

Does the test lamp flash?

Repair the open in CKT 16 (PPL) from the turn/hazard flasher module to the turn/hazard switch.

Is the fuse functional?

  2. Place Ignition Switch in the RUN position.
  3. Disconnect the Turn/Hazard Switch (part of C201).
  4. Connect a test lamp from CKT 139 (PNK) wire cavity A2 at Connector C201 to ground.

Does Test Lamp Light?

  1. Reconnect the Turn/Hazard Switch (C201).
  2. Turn Hazard Flashers OFF and place the Turn Signal Switch to the Left Turn position.
  3. Using a test lamp, backprobe from Connector C201 CKT 1508 (LT BLU) wire cavity A3 to ground.

Does Test Lamp Light?

  1. Disconnect Turn/Hazard Flasher Module.
  2. Turn Hazard Flashers ON.
  3. Connect a test lamp from CKT 62 (LT GRN) wire cavity H9 to ground.

Does Test Lamp Light?

Connect a test lamp from CKT 550 (BLK) wire cavity G8 to CKT 62 (LT GRN) wire cavity H9 at the Turn/Hazard Flasher Module.

  1. Reconnect Turn/Hazard Flasher Module.
  2. Using a test lamp, backprobe from the Turn Signal Switch CKT 16 (PPL) wire cavity E9 to ground.

Using a test lamp, backprobe from the Turn/Hazard Flasher Module CKT 16 (PPL) wire cavity H7 to ground.
