Did you perform the Lighting Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the hazard flasher to the ON position.
  2. Observe the turn signal(s) that do not work.

Does the suspect light flash?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 5

Repair the open from the turn/hazard switch to the following appropriate inoperative lamp:

    • CKT 14 (LT BLU) for the left side front,
    • CKT 15 (DK BLU) for the right side front
    • CKT 18 (YEL) for the left side rear
    • CKT 19 (DK GRN) for the right side rear

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK

Move the turn signal switch to the inoperative side turn signal.

Does only the rear turn signal operate?

Repair open in CKT 350 (BLK) between splice S100 and G100 (RH) or CKT 250 (BLK) between splice S104 and G101 (LH).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Using a test lamp, backprobe CKT 15 (DK BLU) cavity A6 (RH) or CKT 14 (LT BLU) cavity A7 (LH) at connector C201 to ground.

Does the test lamp flash?

--

Go to Step 6

Replace Turn/Hazard Switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Repair open in CKT 15 (DK BLU) between connector C201 and splice S212 for right side or CKT 14 (LT BLU) between connector C201 and splice S211 for left side.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
