Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  2. Roll the shift lever boot back until the shift lever mounting screw is exposed.

  3. Object Number: 375322  Size: SH
  4. Remove the shift lever mounting screw.
  5. Remove the shift lever wiring from the retainer clips and tie strap.
  6. Disconnect the shift lever electrical connector.
  7. Remove the shift lever.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the shift lever.
  2. Connect the shift lever electrical connector.
  3. Install the wiring on the retainer clips and new tie straps.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the shift lever mounting screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the shift lever mounting screw to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  7. Roll the shift lever boot over the shift lever mounting screw.
  8. Install the lower column cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
