Was the instrument panel cluster (IPC) system check performed?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster in Instrument Panel, Console and Gauges

1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.
2. Turn headlamp switch to the head position.
3. Using the dimmer switch, switch to high beams.

Do the headlamps function properly?

Go to Step 4

1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.
2. With a scan tool, select IPC, Special Functions, and command the high beam indicator Lamp on, then off.

Does the lamp turn on and off when commanded?

Go to Step 4

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Console and Gauges.

Is the replacement complete?
