Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 327113  Size: MH
  1. Remove the liftgate garnish molding (1). Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement .
  2. Remove the control rods from the actuator lever (2).
  3. Remove the latch assembly screws (6).

  4. Object Number: 327114  Size: MH
  5. Remove the slide latch assembly (4) from the liftgate.
  6. Remove the control rod from the liftgate.
  7. Remove the control rod from the latch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 327114  Size: MH
  1. Install the latch assembly (4) with the control rod to the liftgate (3).

  2. Object Number: 327113  Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Install new retainers whenever the control rods are removed.

  3. Install the latch assembly screws (6).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the liftgate latch assembly screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  5. Use the following procedure in order to install the control rods to the actuator lever (2):
  6. 3.1. Push the actuator lever and the control rod together (2).
    3.2. Push the control rod through the hole.
  7. Install the liftgate garnish molding (1). Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement .
