  1. Disconnect BCM connector C2 terminal B12 for CKT 80.
  2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
  3. Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance in CKT 80 between terminal B12 of BCM harness connector C2 and ground.

Does the resistance measure equal to the specified value?

Go to Step 2

Replace the BCM. Refer to the following procedures:

    • Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System
    •  Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System

  1. Disconnect ignition switch connector C1 terminal D of CKT 80.
  2. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.
  3. Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance in CKT 80, between terminal D of ignition switch connector C1 and ground.

Does the resistance measure equal to the specified value?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .

Repair the short to ground in CKT 80 between terminal B12 of BCM connector C2 and terminal D of ignition switch connector C1. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
