  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON switch.
  2. Press and release the trip reset button.

Does the odometer toggle between trip and season?

  1. Disconnect the odometer reset switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. With the scan tool select Instrument Panel Cluster, Data Display, Inputs and monitor the trip reset switch.
  4. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 376 (LT GRN) cavity A and a known good ground.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

Go to Step 3

  1. With the scan tool monitor the trip reset switch.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 376 (LT GRN) cavity A and CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) cavity B of the odometer reset switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

Go to Step 4

Replace the odometer reset switch.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) between the odometer reset switch and G202.

  1. Remove the connector comb of the instrument cluster connector to backprobe connector.
  2. Backprobe with a fused jumper wire between CKT 376 (LT GRN) cavity B9 and a known good ground.
  3. With the scan tool monitor the trip reset switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair the open in CKT 376 (LT GRN) between the odometer reset switch and the instrument cluster.
