Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the underhood lamp electrical connector.

    4. Caution: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Remove the hood assist rod from the hood side with the aid of an assistant. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1215660 Size: SH
  5. Remove the hood bolts (1) securing the upper hood hinge to the hood (2) with the aid of an assistant.
  6. Remove the hood (2) from the vehicle, with the aid of an assistant.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1215660 Size: SH
  1. Install the hood (2) to the vehicle with the aid of an assistant.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the hood bolts (1) securing the upper hood hinge to the hood (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the hood assist rod to the hood side. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .
  4. Connect the underhood lamp connector.
  5. Install the hood insulator. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
  6. Close the hood.
