    • EN 46326 Flywheel Holding Tool

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the powertrain. Refer to Powertrain Removal and Installation .

  2. Object Number: 53487  Size: SH
  3. Remove the driveline support assembly. Refer to Driveline Support Assembly Replacement .
  4. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 928040  Size: SH
  6. Install the EN 46326 .
  7. Remove the engine flywheel bolts.
  8. Remove the flywheel and the reinforcement.
  9. Clean and inspect the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection .

Installation Procedure

  1. Apply sealant to the flywheel mounting bolts. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the correct part number.

  2. Object Number: 53487  Size: SH
  3. Position the flywheel and the reinforcement to the crankshaft.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the flywheel mounting bolts.
  6. Tighten

    1. Tighten the flywheel mounting bolts a first pass to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the flywheel mounting bolts a final pass an additional 50 degrees using the J 45059 .

  7. Remove the EN 46326 .
  8. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  9. Install the driveline support assembly. Refer to Driveline Support Assembly Replacement .
  10. Install the powertrain. Refer to Powertrain Removal and Installation .
