Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1111822  Size: SH
  1. Open the folding top as shown in the illustration.
  2. The distance (A) from the windshield header to the leading edge of the folding top panel is 400 mm (15.75 in).

  3. Place a protective covering over the interior and the adjacent body panels.

  4. Object Number: 1253484  Size: SH
  5. Remove the weatherstrip retainer screws (1).

  6. Object Number: 1253489  Size: SH
  7. Pull the bottom of the upper weatherstrip leg to remove the weatherstrip from the folding top panel.

  8. Object Number: 1253490  Size: SH
  9. Ensure that the retainer clips (1) have stayed attached to the upper weatherstrip leg (2). If the clips have stayed in the folding top panel, remove the clips and install the clips in the weatherstrip.

  11. Pull the lower weatherstrip (1) off of the folding top panel flange (2).

  12. Object Number: 1253562  Size: SH
  13. Remove the weatherstrip from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1253562  Size: SH
  1. Position the weatherstrip to the vehicle.
  2. Install the corners of the lower weatherstrip (1) to the folding top panel flange (2). Work the weatherstrip from the corners to the center on the vehicle. Gently use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the weatherstrip to the flange.

  3. Object Number: 1253561  Size: SH
  4. Install the remainder of the weatherstrip to the folding top panel. Ensure that the weatherstrip (1) is seated on the folding top panel flange (2), and that the seal flange (3) is seated behind the folding top panel (4). Gently use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the weatherstrip to the flange.

  5. Object Number: 1253540  Size: SH
  6. Ensure that the lower weatherstrip (2) is seated between the folding top panel (1) and the weatherstrip leg (3).
  7. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1253484  Size: SH
  8. Install the weatherstrip retainer screws (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  10. Remove the protective covering.
  11. Operate the folding top under power through one complete cycle in each direction.
  12. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation .
