Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the left lower front bumper close out panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 1739056  Size: SH
  4. Install oil drain pan under the vehicle.
  5. Remove the engine oil cooler hose/pipe from the external oil cooler. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting.

  6. Object Number: 1739057  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the engine oil cooler hose/pipe clip from the fan shroud.

  8. Object Number: 1739054  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the engine oil cooler hose/pipe clip from the engine.

  10. Object Number: 1739055  Size: SH
  11. Remove the external engine oil cooler hose/pipe from the engine. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting.
  12. Remove the external engine oil cooler hose/pipe from the vehicle.
  13. Remove and discard all engine oil cooler hose/pipe seals.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1739055  Size: SH
  1. Install new engine oil cooler hose/pipe seals.
  2. Install the external engine oil cooler hose/pipe to the vehicle.
  3. Important: The quick connect fitting must be pushed on and then pulled back to verify proper connector engagement.

  4. Install the external engine oil cooler hose/pipe to the engine. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting.

  5. Object Number: 1739054  Size: SH
  6. Connect the engine oil cooler hose/pipe clip to the engine.

  7. Object Number: 1739057  Size: SH
  8. Connect the engine oil cooler hose/pipe clip to the fan shroud.

  9. Object Number: 1739056  Size: SH

    Important: The quick connect fitting must be pushed on and then pulled back to verify proper connector engagement.

  10. Install the engine oil cooler hose/pipes to the external oil cooler. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting.
  11. Remove the oil drain pan from under the vehicle.
  12. Install the left lower front bumper close out panel. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Lower Close Out Panel Replacement.
  13. Refill the engine with oil and check for leaks.
