When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

2004 SRX XLR 4.6L LH2 engine oil leaks at the crank case halves, oil manifold, and oil pan gasket.

Recommendation/Instructions:

The concern of 2004 SRX XLR 4.6L LH2 engine oil leaks at the crank case halves, oil manifold, and oil pan gasket is believed to be caused by poor machine surfaces allowing the oil seepage. During your diagnosis, check for porosity in the block. If the leak is coming from the joints, it is probably a poor seal between the mating surfaces. Use the procedures in Bulletin 03-06-01-027 to reseal the engine crank case.
