Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105326  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Wiring Harness Replacement .
  4. Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

  5. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the rear compartment lid (1) to the rear compartment lid hinge (2) with the aid of an assistant.
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid (1) from the vehicle with the aid of a assistant.

  8. Remove the backup lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Replacement .
  9. Remove the high mounted stoplamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  10. Remove the rear compartment lid latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  12. Remove the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers (2) from the rear compartment lid (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers (2) to the rear compartment lid (1).
  2. Install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Install the rear compartment lid latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  4. Install the high mounted stoplamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  5. Install the backup lamps. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  6. Position the rear compartment lid (1) to the hinges, with an assistant.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the fasteners (3) to the rear compartment lid (1) to the rear compartment lid hinge (2) with an assistant.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Wiring Harness Replacement .
  11. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
