  1. Reconnect all previously disconnected components.
  2. Turn OFF the ignition.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).

Does the scan tool communicate with the EBTCM?

Does the scan tool communicate with other modules on the serial data class 2 line?

  1. With the scan tool in ABS/TCS/ICCS Special Functions, run the Automated Test.
  2. With the scan tool, read the ABS/TCS/ICCS DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any current Diagnostic Trouble Codes?

  1. Remove the scan tool from the DLC.
  2. Cycle the ignition switch from the OFF to ON position.

Does the DIC display the TRACTION OFF message?

Press the TCS On/Off switch to disable Traction Control.

Does the DIC display the TRACTION OFF message?
