WARRANTY COVERAGE CHARTS INFORMATION

WARRANTY COVERAGE CHARTS

During the past few years, there have been numerous changes in the Cadillac New Car Warranties. It is understandable that some confusion may exist as to which coverages apply to which models. To assist all dealer personnel, Service Advisors in particular, the enclosed laminated warranty coverage charts are being provided.

One side lists all the new car coverages from 1979 through 1984 models. The reverse side shows the General Motors Service Replacement Parts and Accessories Warranties as well as systems covered by the Value Protection Plan Service Agreement for previously-owned Cadillacs.

This information will provide a ready reference to dealer new and used car sales personnel as well as service employes. Two charts are enclosed with this bulletin. A limited supply of extra charts are available from your Cadillac Zone office.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
