MAP AND BARO SENSOR USAGE (BENDIX & DELCO PART NUMBERS)

All 1980 DEFI and 1981 DFI or CCC vehicles originally equipped with Bendix MAP and BARO sensors can currently be serviced using either Bendix or Delco sensors. In the near future, Bendix sensors will not be available for service. When this occurs, Delco sensors must be used as service replacements for all sensors.

Whenever a Bendix sensor is replaced by a Delco sensor, both the MAP and BARO sensors must be replaced and a sensor mounting kit must be used to complete the installation. Refer to Serviceman Bulletin I-81-53 for illustrations of the sensors and bracket kits. Complete parts information is listed below.
