DTC Descriptor

DTC C0550: Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Performance

Circuit/System Description

The electronic suspension control module (ESCM) detects an internal malfunction.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is in the RUN position.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

An internal ESCM malfunction exists.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

One or more of the following actions may occur:

    • The ESC system is disabled.
    • The SERVICE SUSPENSION SYS and SPEED LIMITED message is displayed.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The condition for the DTC is no longer present and the DTC is cleared with a scan tool.
    • The ESCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. The DTC can be cleared with a scan tool.

Circuit/System Verification

Verify DTC C0550 is not current.

If DTC C0550 is current, replace the ESCM.

Repair Instructions
