Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Tape the window in the full up position.
  5. Connect the door trim panel wire harness connector.
  6. Loosen the window regulator to window clamp nuts 4 revolutions.
  7. Using the power window switch, lower the window regulator about 1/2 way down.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor.
  9. Remove the window regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
  10. Remove the window regulator through the rear access hole in the door panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the window regulator into the door through the rear access hole in the door panel.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the window regulator bolts.
  4. Tighten

    1. Tighten the bolt (1) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
    2. Tighten the bolt (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
    3. Tighten the bolt (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
    4. Tighten the bolt (4) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
    5. Tighten the bolt (5) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  5. Remove the tape from the window.
  6. Lower the window into the window regulator clamps.
  7. Connect the power window motor electrical connector.
  8. Important: Start the vehicle to ensure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.

  9. Start the vehicle.
  10. Raise the window to the full up position.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the window clamp nuts to 11 N·m (95 lb in).

  12. Inspect the window for proper operation and a tight seal.
  13. Shut off the vehicle.
  14. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  15. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  16. The window motors need to be programmed/initialized whenever power is removed from the window motor. Refer to Window Motor Programming - Express Function .
