Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement LH2

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.6L (LH2).
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 886332 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering reservoir.

    5. Object Number: 888270 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir.

    6. Object Number: 888272 Size: SH
  6. Remove the power steering reservoir retaining nuts.
  7. Remove the power steering reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 888272 Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering reservoir to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the power steering reservoir retaining nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.

    4. Object Number: 886332 Size: SH
  4. Connect the power steering cooler hose to the power steering reservoir.
  5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  6. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.6L (LH2).
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  8. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement LY7

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement for 3.6L engine.
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering reservoir.

    5. Object Number: 1300041 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir.

    6. Object Number: 1300040 Size: SH
  6. Remove the power steering reservoir retaining bolts.
  7. Remove the power steering reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1300040 Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering reservoir to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the power steering reservoir retaining bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.
  4. Connect the power steering cooler hose to the power steering reservoir.
  5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  7. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement for 3.6L engine.
