Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Are only the turn signal indicators in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) always ON or flashing?

Go to Step 10

Test the appropriate turn signal lamp supply voltage circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 15

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the C3 harness connector at the instrument panel module (IPM).
  3. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate front turn signal switch signal circuit at the IPM harness connector and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair a short to voltage in the appropriate front turn signal switch signal circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 15

  1. Disconnect the IPM.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Observe the turn signals.

Did the turn signals turn OFF?

Go to Step 7

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the IPM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the turn signal/multifunction switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the rear integration module (RIM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .
